URGENT - 31st July 2023 deadline

The deadline for buying back Missing Years from 2006 is fast approaching. 

​

HMRC normally only allow you to buy back gaps in your National Insurance record for up to 6 years prior to the current tax year;  this would apply if you didn’t work for a year or were below the NI threshold but want to ensure you receive a state pension.

 

However, if you were born after the 5th April 1951 for a man and 5th April 1953 for a woman you can pay for gaps in the tax years April 2006 to April 2016 but this deadline is only till the 31st July 2023.
